Businessman robbed

KOHAT, May 10: A businessman from Islamabad was robbed of his Suzuki car and Rs100,000 by some unknown gunmen at gunpoint on Rawalpindi Road near Gumbat police station, on Thursday.

One Munawar and his colleague were on their way back to Islamabad after collected payments from Thall, Hangu, Bilitang in his Suzuki van bearing number IDK-4902 when they were robbed by four gunmen.

The robbers took the van and Rs100,000 before disappearing in the mountains and leaving the two men stranded in the remote valley.

They told the Gumbat police that the Mercedes which was following them suddenly came in front of their van and signalled them to stop.

Suddenly, four armed men came out of the Mercedes and asked for the key of the van, driving license, registration book and the cash and left. The police have registered a case against the unknown gunmen.
