KARACHI, May 10: Pakistan and Afghanistan will resume air link after a gap of 23 years on Sunday when Afghanistan’s Ariana Airlines is scheduled to start regular civil air operations between Islamabad and Kabul.
Since December 1979, it would be the first civil aviation contact between the two countries with Ariana starting its service from Kabul to Islamabad and vice versa on May 12 and PIA on May 18.
The Ariana will operate its flights on Sundays from Kabul to Islamabad at 8am (Afghanistan’s local time) and from Islamabad to Kabul at 9.45am (PST).
PIA flight will leave Islamabad for Kabul on Saturdays at 12:15pm (PST) and from Kabul to Islamabad at 12:45pm.—APP
