ISLAMABAD, May 10: President Pervez Musharraf will officially visit the three African countries — Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco — from May 15 to 21, an official announcement said.

Mr Musharraf would visit the countries on invitations from His Majesty King Mohammed-VI of Morocco, Algerian President H.E. Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Tunisian President H.E. Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali.

He will first travel to Algeria, then to Tunisia and after that to Morocco.

Pakistan enjoyed ties of common faith and of shared culture and history with all these three countries, and the visits would further consolidate the relations.

President’s talks with the King of Morocco and the presidents of Algeria and Tunisia would cover a wide range of subjects including bilateral ties, regional and international issues of mutual concern, the situation in Kashmir, the Indo-Pak border stand-off and the Middle East crisis, the announcement said.

During the visit, a memorandum of understanding on political consultations and agreements envisaging cooperation in trade would be signed.
