HYDERABAD, May 10: The All Hyderabad Private Transport Ittehad has condemned the ban on the new registration of light vehicles by the excise and taxation department.
The condemnation was made at a meeting of the ittehad held here the other.
The meeting also discussed the problems and the situation arising out of the ban, acts of terrorism and the anti-workers attitude of police.
The meeting was of the opinion that the Sindh government had incurred a loss of about Rs10 million by imposing the ban.
The meeting also demanded that the ban, imposed by DIG traffic Sindh, be lifted.
In another resolution, the meeting condemned the insulting attitude of police towards the rickshaw drivers and called upon the senior officials to save the poor rickshaw drivers from the police excesses.
The meeting also condemned the acts of terrorism, bomb blasts, kidnappings and murders of innocent people in Karachi and demanded the immediate recovery of the kidnapped prof of Liaquat Medical University, Surgeon Mohammad Hussain Leghari.
Syed Sardar Ali Babu presided over the meeting.
