Training camp now from 28th

By Our Sports Reporter

ISLAMABAD, May 9: A training camp of the Pakistan cricket team ahead of next month’s tour of Australia, which was to start in Lahore from May 17, has been put back.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has now rescheduled it for May 28 after which the team will leave for Australia on June 5 where they are due to play three one-day matches and a practice game.

Meanwhile, the PCB’s plans of hiring a foreign trainer for the national team have been put on hold following Wednesday’s bomb blast in Karachi that prompted the New Zealand team to pack up and leave.

The PCB had reportedly finalised a deal with an Australian trainer, whose names could not be known, in order to keep the cricketers in top shape for the Australian tour and the next year’s World Cup.
