3 shops gutted

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, May 9: Three shops were reduced to ashes as fire broke out at the main Commissionary Bazaar here on Wednesday evening. However, the fire was put out by the local shopkeepers before the fire brigade and the Rescue 15 could reach the scene of the blaze.

The cause of the fire was stated to be short-circuit. The total loss is estimated at half a million rupees. Earlier in the morning, a tobacco shop also caught fire, but the concerned authorities could not reach the scene in time.
