CHITRAL, May 9: A bomb exploded beside the main gate of a local public school late Tuesday night, blowing up one of its walls and partially damaging the gate.
The blast created panic in the localities around Muslim Model School.
The police have started investigation into the incident.
RURAL SUPPORT: The chief executive officer of the Sarhad Rural Support Programme, Shahzada Masoodul Mulk, has said that the organization has launched development activities in 11 districts under the guidance of the respective district governments.
Speaking at the concluding session of a training workshop held for the union council Nazims and councillors under the auspices of SRSC, he said the schemes launched by the SRSC had been prioritized by the Nazims. He advised the trainees to utilize their energies for the alleviation of poverty.
POWER UNIT: The Chinese government will construct a hydel power station at Golen Gol whose generation capacity is expected to be 106MW which will be enough to electrify many districts.
Talking to journalists, the project manager of the China National Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering, Hung Jelling said the project would be launched shortly and a Chinese engineering firm would execute it.
