SUKKUR, May 9: The chairperson of the Maher Welfare Society, Karachi, Naheed Maher, along with other social workers visited the Civil Hospital, Sukkur, and met the victims of Sukkur incident in which seven children were killed.
They also met women and children who were burnt and had been under treatment since the occurance of the incident.
The team met the parents of the deceased children and announced an amount of Rs5000 for each affected family.
Ms Naheed appealed to the government to conduct survey of the dilapidated houses and help poor families get them repaired.
