DADU, May 9: The anti-corruption police establishment initiated investigation against former medical superintendent and storekeeper of the Mehar Taluka Hospital.
The circle officer, anti-corruption police, Dadu, has initiated enquiry against the former medical superintendent, Dr Javed Ahmed Dawach, for appointing four sweepers in August 2001 during the ban on recruitment.
The anti-corruption police also initiated enquiry against the storekeeper of the taluka hospital for purchasing medicines on high rates while showing fake vouchers.
The circle officer, inspector Aijaz Ahmed Abbasi, told Dawn that on the directives of the director of the anti-corruption police establishment, Sindh, he had issued letters to the medical superintendent, Mehar Taluka Hospital, Dr Ghulam Rasool Lashari, former medical superintendent Dr Javed Ahmed Dawach and storekeeper of the taluka hospital to provide the record of related matter.
