Tigers excel

LAHORE, May 8: Four more matches were decided in the Z.U. Khan Memorial basketball tournament at the Don Bosco School courts Tuesday.

Tigers Club outclassed Government School Attoki Awan  41- 5.  The winners led the first half 21-5. Maqbool Ahmad  (15)  and Muhammad Riaz (14) were the main scorers for the winning team.

St.  Francis School struggled to beat Don Basco  Urdu  Medium School  21-19  after being tied 6-6 at halftime.

Don Bosco ‘A’, trounced Government  High  School,  Pattoki 92-23.

Leading 53-12 at halftime, Bosco ‘A’ outplayed its opponents with Umair  Javed  (19),  Moin Arshad  (16), Saad Javed (12), Zafar Ali (12), Abdur Rehman  (12) and  Zohaib  Bashir (10) the leading scorers.

Stephen with 15 points was the major scorer for the losers.

Don Bosco Old Boys Club, despite a tough challenge from Don Bosco ‘B’ won 50-45 after taking 26-21 lead at halftime.

Asif Ali contributed 24 points for the winners while Naveed  scored 18 points for the losers.
