Nazims plan alliance

Published May 9, 2002

ABBOTTABAD, May 8: All the five district Nazims of Hazara Division have decided to form an alliance for checking “corrupt politicians” from being elected in the October polls.

This was said by Azam Khan Swati, Nazim of the Mansehra district, while talking to journalists here at a school after the annual parents day and prize distribution ceremony.

Mr Swati said it was time to get rid of all those who had plundered the national wealth and damaged not only the democratic institutions but had also given a bad name to politics.

Criticizing all factions of the PML and PPP, he said efforts would be made to stop their entry to the assemblies.
