KARACHI: Nine cars, 12 bikes taken away

KARACHI, May 3: At least 21 vehicles — nine cars and 12 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen from different # parts of the city on Friday.

Four cars were hijacked and five were stolen, while five motorcycles were hijacked and seven got stolen from different parts of Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Saddar, New Town, North Nazimabad, Gul Bahar and New Karachi.

Police claimed to have recovered five cars and three motorcycles from different parts of the city on Friday.

KILLED: A young man was shot dead by unknown persons in Mominabad on late Wednesday night.

Police said that Shista Khan, aged 26, and Ali Ahmed, aged 25, were sitting in their car (AA-1615) outside the health club owned by Shista Khan when unknown gunmen opened fire at them and escaped.

Shista Khan was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, while Ali Ahmed was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
