LAHORE, April 30: The Lahore Race Club has drawn up an ordinary six-event card for the midweek Lahore Gymkhana races to be held at the Racecourse on May Day.

All events will be contested over the sprinting distance of 900 metres. The first race will start at 2.30 pm.

Seven-year-old chestnut gelding Crysler, seems to have a good chance to win the feature event, in the Chichawatni Plate, Class VII Division V which will be the sixth and last race of the afternoon. The gelding has come down considerably in the handicap and is faster than his eight rivals.

Two other chestnut geldings, Moment To Moment and Russian Pet and the bay mare Hot Spell, are the other contestants who can pose some challenge to Crysler.

Meanwhile the Lahore Race Club (LRC) has directed the owners of eighteen horses to present them for verification of their documents in the club paddock on May 4. An LRC notification issued on Tuesday warned absentees that `their entries in races will be banned.

The horses to be verified are: Game Master, Prince Of Arabia, Weldon Shogun, Win Dancer, Wish You Well, Brave Shah, Mera Shahinshah, Lucky Rambo, Rambo’s Way, Rocket, Great Profit, Daring Eagle, Royal Bullet, Sound Of Music, Sweet Cis, Code Of Honour, New Cannon and New Valley.
