ISLAMABAD, April 28: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) will provide special tour packages to overseas Pakistanis.

In an interview with this agency, the PTDC managing-director, Masood Ali Khan, said a programme titled “Home Coming Tours” would be launched soon.

He said the corporation was contacting Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF), Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and Bureau of Investment (BOI) to promote the concept in different parts of the world.

Mr Khan said the country had tremendous potential in attracting the overseas Pakistanis settled in England, UAE, United States, Canada, Germany and other parts of the world to visit their homeland.

He said the PTDC’s programme of printing pictures of tourist-sites on aerogrammes and envelopes in collaboration with the Pakistan Post had helped promote the country’s image all over the world.

He said a meeting was held with the director-general of Postal Services to find ways and means to promote the tourist sites of Pakistan through print material.”In this connection posters and brochures will be provided to some of the cyber cafes at the main post offices,” he added.

The PTDC will be signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Postal Service to further promote the image and tourist sites of the country.—APP
