No harvesting in border villages for ninth day

By Our Correspondent

SIALKOT, April 27: Harvesting of seasonal crops remained suspended on Saturday for the ninth consecutive day in border areas due to Indian shelling.

The Indian Border Security Force continued heavy shelling on villages along the working boundary’s Chhumb Joriyaan (Gujrat), Bajwat, Sucheetgarh, Charwa, Harpal, Chaprar, Jammu, Akhnoor, Saamba and Shakargarh-Narowal sectors. No casualty has yet been reported.

Meanwhile, the Chenab Rangers thwarted an Indian attempt of fencing the working boundary near Chhumb Joriyaan sector, causing heavy loss to the enemy.
