Villager shot dead over property issue

FAISALABAD, April 27: A villager was shot dead on Saturday by armed men over a property dispute at Chak 84-JB.

Muhammad Sadiq along with his family members was busy in harvesting wheat crop when Niaz Ahmed, Irshad, Shaukat, Yousaf and others came there and fired at him. He received critical injuries and died on the way to hospital.

Saddar police have registered a case and are investigating.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Ashfaq was gunned down by his neighbour Muhammad Aslam over a minor issue at Chak 49-JB. The assailant fled after committing the crime.

SNATCHED: Three masked highwaymen on Saturday snatched Rs57,000 at gunpoint from a boy in Peoples Colony here on Saturday.

Razi Hassan was going to deposit the amount to a nearby bank when armed robbers intercepted him near Harianwala Chowk.
