OKARA, April 27: Local lawyers supporting the Pakistan People’s Party and the Pakistan Muslim League have asked the Punjab Bar Council to take disciplinary action against District Bar Association president Rana Muhammad Farooq Khan and senior vice-president Mian Muhammad Tahir Mahmood.

The lawyers said Mr Khan and Mr Mahmood had tried to sabotage the lawyers’ strike called by the PBC.

In a letter written to the DBA secretary, the lawyers also said, the president and SVP had invited Punjab Law Minister Rana Ijaz Ahmad Khan without taking the general body into confidence.
