Hesco issues detection bills in Mirpurkhas

MIRPURKHAS, April 27: Detection bills had been issued to hundreds of consumers of Hesco, Mirpurkhas city sub-division, it was alleged by some consumers on Saturday.

Talking to newsmen at the press club here, Nasir, Shahid, Basheer and other consumers alleged that despite the orders of the Hesco chief not to issue any detection bills to the consumers, detection bills had been issued by the SDO, city sub-division.

They alleged that the Hesco officials corrected detection bills of some consumers after receiving bribe from them.

They deplored that those who could not pay bribe had been compelled to pay the detection bills.

They alleged that many persons, whose supply had been disconnected several months back, were still receiving bills.

They demanded of the Hesco chief to order an impartial inquiry into the matter and redress the grievances of the consumers.

TEACHERS: The teachers of the Rabia Basri Primary Girls School, Hameedpura Colony, have alleged that the Nazim of union council-2, Mirpurkhas, Yawar Khan, and councillors of misbehaving with the women teachers.

In an joint statement issued here on Saturday, Fozia, Rahat Parveen, Safia, Rukhsana and others deplored that the Nazim and some councillors, who were his friends, had become regular visitors of the school.

They said that the Nazim and the councillors sat in the school for several hours and instead of contacting the headmistress for solution of their problems, if any, they misbehaved with the teachers.

They said that the teachers had also submitted written complaints to the district Nazim for taking action against them.

They demanded of the higher authorities to take notice of the matter

BODY: The body of a 17-year-old woman was brought to the civil hospital here on Saturday from Jam Laghari village, Mirpurkhas taluka.

A report said that deceased Teeja wife of Mehran alias Papoo Meghwar, had allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself.
