Two killed in LoC shelling

MUZAFFARABAD: April 26: Two persons were killed in the southern Kotli district of Azad Kashmir when the Indian troops started unprovoked shelling on Friday, officials said.

The killings occurred in the Khuiratta sector after the area was shelled with small and big arms at about 1:30pm, they said.

Nambardar Hafeezullah Khan, 80, died in Janjot Bahadar village and Mohammad Azam, 58, was killed in the nearby Jagal Pal village, they said. Another civilian, identified as Abdul Aziz, received injuries in Jagal Pal.

On Thursday, a construction worker was killed and seven others were injured in the district Poonch in Indian shelling.
