Arch rivals unite on one platform
By Tariq Saeed Birmani
DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 26: The referendum has united arch-rivals at one platform provided by the Jamaat-i-Islami in the district.
This was expressed by speakers at the all-party conference organized by the local chapter of the Jamaat-i-Islami at a local hotel here Thursday night.
PML(N) district President Dost Muhammad Khosa said joint efforts would pull the country out of chaos.
Speaking on the occasion, union councillor Nazim Khwaja Mudassar claimed he had tendered his resignation from office as a protest against referendum.
Punjab Bar Council member Malik Saleem said political and religious parties should exhibit tolerance in accepting each other’s opinions.
The black sheep among the judiciary and military involved in sabotaging the constitution should be barred from such activities, he urged.
Jamaat district Ameer Advocate Abdul Rasheed said restoration of 1973 constitution was the only prescription to country’s success.
