TWO MURDERED: Two persons were murdered on Friday in different incidents in the district.

The body of an unidentified youth was recovered from an irrigation water course at Chak 332-GB. The deceased had several cut marks on his neck.

Meanwhile, unidentified assailants on Thursday night stoned to death Allah Ditta of Millat Colony, Gojra. He was asleep in his outhouse to look after the cattle.

LAWYERS: The defeated group of lawyers led by PBC member Mian Muhammad Afzal on Friday assured the Federal Privatization Minister that local lawyers would vote Gen Pervez Musharraf in the referendum.
