LAHORE, April 25: New Zealand brought pleasant weather when they arrived in the Punjab metropolis Thursday morning amidst rain.

Thick cloud over along with intermittent rain had greeted the Black Caps in Rawalpindi who are on their first visit to Pakistan since 1996-97. Both the teams were lucky that the second match finished without any rain interruptions that had looked unlikely until an hour before the start of the game.

So much so, the weather in Karachi for the first match was not as hot and humid as expected, particularly in late April, that is an off-season for Pakistan cricket.

Meteorological department has forecasted more rains in the next 48 hours. In fact, there was forecast for thunderstorm late Thursday evening. The MET office further said the temperature over the next 48 hours would be around 25 degrees Celsius.

New Zealand, trailing 2-0 in the three-match series, face Pakistan in the last One-day International at the Gaddafi Stadium Saturday.
