KARACHI, April 25: Germany and the Netherlands have set up a joint visa office in Karachi on the premises of the German Consulate at Clifton. The office will begin functioning on April 29.

According to a joint statement issued here on Thursday by the Consul- General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ingmar Brentle, and the Consul- General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Teunis Halff, the visa office has been set up in pursuance of the decision of the foreign ministers of the two countries to further the European Union cooperation in the field of diplomatic and consular representations abroad.
