DERA ISMAIL KHAN, April 23: Provost Marshal of Pakistan Army and Commandant Corps of Military Police, Maj-Gen Tariq Hamid has said that during all periods of peace and war, the Military Police has set up examples of excellent performance and discipline.

He was speaking as chief guest at the passing-out parade of Military Police at CMP Centre here at D.I. Khan on Tuesday. He said discipline was the basic principle of Military Police.

He said Pakistan Army had always rendered sacrifices for the solidarity and integrity of the country. Recalling the army’s role in the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in Cambodia, Bosnia, Gulf states and African countries, Maj-Gen Tariq Hameed said new chapters were included in the history of UN peace commissions by our brave and professional army.

He said MP was deputed for the security of most sensitive installations and personalities and it always fulfilled its task with dedication and hard work. He admired the march past and professionalism of the cadets.
