Shakil elected as SABA president

KARACHI, April 22: Son-in-law of PABF Chief Prof.Anwar Chowdhry, Shakil Durani was elected the President of Sindh Amateur Boxing Association (SABA) in the elections held Monday, says a press release issued here.

Other office bearers elected were Abid Ali Brohi, Ghulam Muhammad Rind, Haji Abdul Ghafoor, Brohi, Qasier Yaqoob (vice presidents); Muhammad Akram (honorary secretary); Muhammad Ismail and Muhammad Younus Pathan (associate secretaries); Ghulam Hussain Patni (treasurer).

Asghar Baloch, Ishaq Baloch, Noor-ul-Abedin, Yar Muhammad Qambrani, Irshad Ali Kehar, Muhammad Salim Baloch, Ashiq Ali Shaikh, Yaqoob Qambrani and Muhammad Aslam were elected as member executive committee.

All the candidates were elected with consensus according to new sports policy, it added.—APP
