Druggists to boycott referendum

By Our Correspondent

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, April 21: The Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association (PCDA), D.I. Khan, has announced that it would boycott the presidential referendum on April 30.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, PCDA General Secretary Dr Abdul Aziz Shahid said that as per the NWFP PCDA’s decision, local chemists and druggists would observe a complete shutdown on April 25 against the imposition of 15 per cent general sales tax on medicines. If a positive response was not received from the government this shutdown would be extended with an interval of one day from the 27th to 29th.
