Trade ties with Finland discussed

ISLAMABAD, April 19: Pakistan and Finland on Friday expressed desire to strengthen the bilateral relations in various fields, with particular emphasis on economy and trade.

During a meeting of the foreign minister of Finland, Erkki Toumioja, with foreign minister Abdul Sattar at the ministry of foreign affairs, regional situation, Afghanistan, Pakistan-India relations and the Kashmir dispute were discussed, a press release said.

The press release said Mr Sattar gave a detailed briefing to the Finish foreign minister on internal reforms process initiated by the government.

Mr Toumioja conveyed the appreciation of his government for Pakistan’s firm stand against international terrorism, the press release added.

The foreign office said Pakistan and Finland enjoy mutually beneficial relations.
