KARACHI, April 18: The Anti-narcotics Force recovered six tons of hashish from a godown in Korangi on Thursday.

Acting on a tip-off, ANF personnel raided a godown in Gulshan-i-Hilal, Korangi No 4, and recovered six tons of hashish.

The ANF officials also took into custody a woman at the godown. However, in anticipation of further arrests, the identity of the suspect was not disclosed by the ANF officials.

The quantity of hashish had a street value of billions in the international market, officials said.

The seized hashish was intended to be sent to Europe, probably by sea through Ibrahim Hyderi, the officials added.

The hashish would have been taken out to the open seas in boats and then transferred to larger ships with the connivance of crew and captains of sea vessels and policing authorities.
