KARACHI, April 18: The pace of regularization of illegally-constructed buildings in Karachi was reviewed at a meeting held under the chairmanship of the provincial secretary for housing, Aijaz Kazi, at the Karachi Building Control Authority here on Thursday.

The issues relating to change of land use, the procedure for recovery of composition and other fee as raised by ABAD and the bottlenecks in the way came under discussion at the meeting with proposals for their resolution.

The secretary directed the KBCA officers to carry out the regularization process in an efficient manner so that no inconvenience was caused to owners of buildings as well as the citizens.

He issued directive for finalizing the seniority list of KBCA officers in 10 days. He also listened to the problems of officers.—APP
