ISLAMABAD, April 16: Federal Interior Secretary Tasneem Noorani has said a team will visit Guantanamo Bay to meet Pakistani prisoners.

“Our team is going there for counsellor access, because there are also some Pakistanis among them,” Mr Noorani told BBC.

When citizens of a country were in the prison of some other country, that country had the right to meet its citizens to ascertain if they were facing any problems, he said and added that the team would provide legal assistance to the prisoners.—APP
