PESHAWAR, April 16: The Saidu Group of Teaching Hospitals will be upgraded to 950 beds to provide better health services to the people.
This was stated by Swat Zila Nazim Dr Mehboobur Rehman during his visit to the Saidu hospitals in connection with the in-auguration of anti-polio campaign, said a statement on Tuesday.
Chief executive of Saidu Group of Hospitals and principal Saidu Medical College, Swat, Dr Peer Mohammad Khan and medical superintendent Dr Shaiber Mian were also present on the occasion.
Dr Mehboob said the government was giving top priority to the provision of health facilities to the people at their door step. The existing 500-bed Saidu Group of Teaching Hospitals would be upgraded to 950 beds, he said, adding that the project would cost Rs45 million.
