HYDERABAD, April 15: Interior Minister Moinuddin Haider has said the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award will be issued after consideration of all aspects and the recommendations of the Inter-Provincial Coordination Committee.

Talking to a delegation of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) during a meeting at the Circuit House here on Monday, he said the meetings of provinces and the federation were in progress regarding the first provincial finance award to be issued from July.

The minister assured the chamber that he would discuss the issue of re-functioning of Hyderabad Airport with the authorities concerned. He advised the district Nazim to make efforts to reactivate the Citizens Police Liasion Committee.

He emphasized the need for setting up non-governmental organizations to improve the conditions of prisons throughout the country. For the first time, 11 jails were being constructed or extended in different cities of the country, he added.—APP
