KARACHI, April 15: Six ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Ship movements at the wharves was modest as eight ships were berthed and sailed out, the berth occupancy being on the lower side at 44 and 33 per cent both the at the dry wharves and the oil piers respectively.

Three ships, Sagar, Ernst Rickmers and Swat to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of five.

The departing ships included Star Light River, Hyundai Stride, MSC Oman, MSC Rosa-M and Nur Yanbu, while X-Press Dhaulagiri and Sagar are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was moderately active where a total tonnage of 64,666 tons comprising 15,463 tons of export cargo and 49,203 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Dilman to load molasses, Sima Kija, MOL Sincerity, Bunga Mas Satu and Safe Marine Wami, with containers and C.E.C. Hope, with general cargo.

Port Qasim

KARACHI, April 15: Two ships carrying edible oil, chemicals and furnace oil were allotted berths at Multipurpose Terminal and Fotco Oil Terminal, says a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, another ship carrying containers also arrived at the outer anchorage.
