Top surgeon of Hyderabad kidnapped

HYDERABAD, April 13: Three unidentified men kidnapped a renowned professor of surgery, Mohammad Hussain Leghari of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, outside his residence late Saturday night.

A police official of Bhittai Nagar Police Station told Dawn that as soon as Mr Leghari reached his house in Gulistan-i- Sajjad, three armed men waiting there took him away in their car.

Dr Leghari was in charge of the Surgical Ward-3, Civil Hospital.

Senior police officials, including AIG Abdul Rauf Yusufzai and DPO Hyderabad Moazam Ansari, rushed to the house of professor after hearing the news.
