SRINAGAR, April 13: Ten people were killed and four wounded in explosions and shootouts in occupied Kashmir, police said on Saturday.
Two freedom fighters, an Indian soldier and a civilian were killed in a gunbattle in Doodipora area of Kupwara district, 90kms northwest of Srinagar, on Friday night.
Two soldiers were wounded in the shootout.
Earlier on Friday evening, two Indian soldiers and two civilians were killed when two landmines detonated near the Banihal area of Doda, southeast of Srinagar.
Two soldiers were hurt in the explosions.
Hizb-ul-Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the blasts.
Elsewhere a freedom fighter and a soldier were killed in separate shootouts.—Reuters
