Two villagers shot dead

LARKANA, April 12: Two villagers, Nisar Ali Magsi and Ali Magsi, were shot dead near Qubo Saeed Khan.

Some armed men sprayed bullets on them near Amir petrol pump on the outskirts of Qubo Saeed Khan when they were going to a nearby village on a motorcycle to buy meat for a marriage party. Both of them died on the spot.

INJURED: A police constable, Abdullah, fired at a head constable, Abdul Ghafoor Wassan, and injured him in a police van near here on Friday.

Reports say that both the policemen exchanged hot words while returning here from the Kutcha area where they had gone to arrest the killers of Gul Hasan Khuhro. Police have claimed that it was a an accidental fire that hit Wassan.

UTPs: The assistant superintendent of Larkana Central Prison has registered an FIR with the Waleed police station against two under trial prisoners (UTPs) for their alleged suicide attempt.

According to prison sources, two UTPs, Sajjad Gulzar and Ghulam Kambar Unnar, climbed over the roof of the juvenile prison located in the jail and demanded of the officials for the implementation of jail manual.

They threatened to commit suicide if their demands were not accepted.

The prisoners jumped from the roof to commit suicide after their demands were turned down by the jail authorities and they received minor injuries, sources said.
