HYDERABAD, April 12: Three dacoits killed three villagers in the Kora Daidano village, Tando Allahyar Taluka, in the wee hours of Friday, said Chambar police on Friday.
Police said that the dacoits disguised as policemen arrived at the Ismail Halepoto village around 3am on two motorcycles. They asked three villagers — Mashooq Halepoto, M. Ali Halepoto and Momin Halepoto — to come out of their house. When they did so they were told by the dacoits that the SHO, Chambar police station, had asked them to report there immediately.
Police went on to say that Ali’s brother decided to accompany them. He had a double barrel gun and a single barrel gun in his possession. He was disarmed and asked to follow them.
Police said the three villagers were taken to the Kora Daidano village, located 2 kms from the Ismail Halepoto village, where they were killed.
Police said all three were related to one another and their bodies were recovered by the police.
Police said that the dacoits were led by Saleh Halepoto who kept himself hidden. He was said to be closely related to Mr Momin. Police said that Saleh Halepoto had killed a number of his relatives previously also on various grounds. The DSP, Tando Allahyar, Irshad said that Saleh’s relatives had asked him not to visit the village.
