Air show begins tomorrow

LAHORE, April 11: The first general aviation air show of Pakistan will be held at Walton Airport on April 13 and 14 by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and Ultralight and Sports Flying Club (USFC).

All flying clubs and general aviation organizations in the country, including the Aircraft Manufacturing Factory (AMF), Kamra, will participate in the show.

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, the objective of the show was to encourage businessmen to buy their own aircraft which would result in increasing business activity, and job opportunities for pilots, aeronautical engineers and technicians.

The show includes an exhibition of about 40 two to six-seater, single and twin engine aircraft like Cessna, Pipers, Ultralight recreational aircraft, home built sports aircraft and crop duster Fletcher planes, aero modelling flying display, aerobatics by Mushshak aircraft, para-trooping, joyrides and events like a woman flying ultralight aircraft.
