ISLAMABAD, April 5: The government has finalized arrangements to put forward the clocks by one hour from April 7.
All federal and provincial government departments have been directed to ensure compliance to the decision on the night between Saturday and Sunday, and to revert to the existing setting on the night between the first Saturday and Sunday of October, a source told Dawn.
The practice is already being observed in 80 countries, the source said.
The government, the source said, believed the decision would lead to many advantages, particularly it will result in considerable energy saving.
