Drug inspector escapes arrest

FAISALABAD, April 5: A local drug inspector escaped when an Anti-Corruption Establishment team raided his office to arrest him on corruption charges here no Friday.

The Jhang circle inspector raided the offices of drug inspector Ahmed Din for he was booked for receiving Rs20,000 in bribe from a resident of Jhang during his posting there. The drug inspector held out the ACE raiding team and managed to escape on his two-wheeler parked outside his office.

Rail Bazaar police have registered a case against the drug inspector.
