Petition dismissed

LAHORE, April 5: The Lahore High Court dismissed on Friday a writ petition against a government decision requiring candidates seeking election to parliament and the provincial assemblies to be graduates.

Justice Karamat Nazir Bhandari observed that the matter was not amenable to judicial review.

FREEMASONS LODGE: A petition seeking return of the Freemasons Lodge to the Freemasons organization was on Friday referred by Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmad to Chief Justice Falak Sher for hearing by some other judge.
