Rain adds to Quetta’s misery

Published April 6, 2002

QUETTA, April 5: The city of Quetta gives a muddy look - following a heavy downpour which started on Thursday evening and continued until Friday morning.

Undoubtedly, the much-awaited rain did bring relief to the people, but it was so heavy that it flooded the streets and left heaps of muck and silt everywhere blocking the drains.

The rain has created dangerous driving conditions.

Residential areas and office buildings have also become filthy dirty. People with eye infections and asthma are having a difficult time.
