PML(QA) criticizes foreign policy

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, April 4: Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam) has expressed its dissatisfaction over the country’s foreign policy and appealed to the government to frame an effective and strong policy integrating it with the national interest, defence and economic diplomacy.

The party’s foreign affairs committee, in its meeting presided over by its chairman Mian Abdul Waheed, observed that if the United States and the international coalition failed to stop Israel from massacring Palestinian people, their war on terrorism would become doubtful. The meeting called for decisive steps in this regard.

The committee condemned Indian role in the regional situation and urged both the countries to withdraw their troops from the frontiers and get back to negotiations to settle all disputes, including the Kashmir issue.

The committee said the Prevention of Terrorism Ordinance was an example of Indian duplicity as it was subjecting Kashmiris to worst atrocities while its security forces were giving cover to the extremist Hindus playing havoc with lives and properties of Muslims in Gujarat and Maharashter.

It also called for removal of misunderstandings with Iran.
