KARACHI: Karimabad roundabout being improved

KARACHI, April 4: The Nazim of Karachi, Naimatullah Khan, has said that work was speedily being carried out for traffic improvement at the Karimabad roundabout and for this purpose all wheelbarrows had been removed from the place.

He stated this while speaking at a big gathering of students at APWA Girls College here on Thursday. The Nazim of Gulberg Town, Farooq Naimatullah, was also present.

The Nazim said arrangements were being made to solve the traffic problems and a signal was being installed in front of APWA College and a bus stop being constructed for students to provide them with a proper place to stand in security.

He said full attention was being paid to the treatment of girl students who were injured in the accident.

The Nazim said traffic laws would be enforced strictly and no leniency would be shown to anyone in this regard.

He said the police had been directed that section 279 would now be applicable only in case of an accident and other traffic laws would be applicable to ordinary traffic violations.—APP
