KARACHI, April 4: A middleaged man was killed by his wife’s paramour in Korangi Industrial Area on Wednesday night.

Police said that Sardar Mashi, aged 43, was sleeping in his house in KIA, sector 50-A, when he was killed by Guloo, victim’s wife paramour.

Later, both the accomplices hanged the body from the ceiling fan to make it look like a suicide case.

Police said that the entire account had been narrated by the couple’s children who managed to escape from the house at the time of the murder.

Police said that the main suspect in the case was absconding and the victim’s wife was under the custody of the police.

ACCIDENT: A young man was crushed to death by a speeding truck in the Kalakot area on Thursday night.

Police said that Sikandar, aged 32, was crushed by a speeding truck in the Kalakot area which escaped after the accident.

The body was sent to the Civil Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

KILLED: A young man was killed while resisting a robbery bid in Site on Thursday.

Police said that victim Pervaiz, aged 33, had withdrawn cash of Rs4,00,000 from a bank in Site and was returning on his motorcycle when he was intercepted by two armed men near Haroonabad RC Cola road, Site.

As the victim tried to resist the robbers, they opened fire and escaped with the cash.

The victim was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the medicolegal officer.

FIRE: Two incidents of fire were reported in two places in the city.

Reports said the fire erupted in a godown in Federal B area. The fire brigade tenders reached there and put it out.

CARJACKINGS: Atleast 20 vehicles — 11 cars and nine motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen from different parts of the city on Thursday.

Police said that four cars had been hijacked and seven cars had been stolen while five motorcycles had been hijacked and four had been stolen from different parts of the city on Thursday.

Police claimed recovery of eight vehicles: KD-0839, JL-3012, ADX-997, JM-9166, KCM-7846, KAR-8652, KAV-9170 and KCD-6321.
