LAHORE, April 2: The Lahore High Court dismissed a habeas corpus petition against the detention of a former air force employee when a law officer informed it that he had been booked under Section 2 of the Pakistan Air Force Act.

Deputy Attorney-General Khwaja Saeeduz Zafar told Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry that the ex-employee, Abdur Razzaq, headed a ring that stole aviation fuel at Multan in transit from Karachi. A loss of Rs10 million was caused to the PAF, out of which Rs2.2 million had been recovered. Court-martial was likely to commence soon, the DAG added. — Staff Reporter
