Physical punishment banned

SIALKOT, April 1: District Nazim Mian Naeem Javaid has imposed a ban on physical punishment to students in government and private educational institutions in the district.

Speaking to officials of the Education Department here on Monday, he said teachers should adopt affectionate and loving behaviour towards students.

He warned that any teacher found involved in awarding physical punishment to students would be terminated.
