Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as seven ships, Hyundai Progress, Parvat, MSC Frementle, X-Press Dhaulagiri to unload and load containers, Millenium Eagle, Al-Malaz and Olkiver Light to offload and load general cargo.

Sailing was also active as identical number of ships departed. They are: Kota Pelangi, Jamila, Nord Lake, Hyundai Progress, In Abdoun, Unter Walen and Maya.

MSC Frementle, Liano, Hyderabadd, Parvat, Al-Malaz and Bunga Mastiga are expected to sail out on Tuesday.

The berth occupancy at the dry wharves was maintained on the higher side at 58pc thanks to steady ship movements, while it was nil on the Bulk Oil Piers as no tanker sailed into the port.

The total tonnage fell to 43,518 tons comprising 20,590 tons of export cargo including 15,000 tons of molasses and 22,928 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Stolt Sakra, with chemicals, Sinar Bangka, Wan Hai-233, with containers and Al-Fujairah, with general cargo.
