Transporters observe strike

HUB, March 30: Transporters here also observed a complete strike on Saturday, and kept their coaches and buses off the roads, to express solidarity with their community in Karachi.

Factory employees, private school teachers and those who have their offices in Karachi were the main victims of the strike.

In the evening, the transporters along with drivers held a protest meeting, and criticized the attitude of traffic police.

They also demanded withdrawal of 302 case registered against a driver of Karachi, who was held responsible for killing two girl students and a motorcyclists near Karimabad. They also called for the release of other detained drivers.
