Husband, wife killed in accident

DADU, March 30: Two persons were killed while three others of a family were injured seriously in a road accident on the Indus Highway, near Chhachhar, on Saturday.

A car was going to Shikarpur from Jamshoro, when it arrived at a the bridge of Adhejee, the driver lost the control and the car overturned.

Sabir Brohi, 30, and his wife, Shazia were killed on the spot while Noor Hussain Brohi, Ms Yaseen and Salma Brohi were critically injured. The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

SUICIDE: A minor girl, Samina, 10, daughter of Mohammad Nawaz Solangi, committed suicide by taking pesticide over some domestic problems in Bachoo village, near the Bhandmani police station, on Friday night.

THEFT: Six armed men barged into the house of one Abdul Majeed Chandio in Gul Mohammad Chandio village on Friday night.

The armed men took away four cattle heads worth of 60,000.

The Khairpur Nathan Shah police have registered an FIR against 6 accused namely Ali Sher, Arab, Anwar, Daud, Habib and Subhan.

HUNGER STRIKE: Over 50 teachers of different high schools of Dadu district on Saturday observed a token hunger strike at the Dadu Press Club to protest against non-payment of their salaries since last four months.
